We here at JALA want to thank Canan Law for all the incredible work they do in partnership with us. Especially for our work in St Johns County.

Every year Canan Law hosts a St Patrick’s Day fundraiser for St. Johns Legal Aid, a division of JALA working in St Johns County, which primarily helps fund our Pro Bono services. This fundraiser has a long history, over 10 years! After these many years this fundraiser has become a fixture in the St Johns legal community’s social calendar and we are so grateful for this. This past year the event was at the St. Augustine Amphitheater and catered by Dog Rose brewing. This event is so important the St Augustine Record has taken notice.

Canan Law was founded by Patrick T. Canan who was the Chief Prosecutor for St Johns County and was once a public defender and who has been committed to doing pro bono work with us since 1994. It is clear to see this commitment to public service never ended. His law firm today finds itself located right in the heart of St Augustine in a beautiful red-accented building. And while the building and location are great the people inside are even greater. Currently, Canan Law has 5 lawyers practicing almost every kind of law from criminal defense law to family law. It is no doubt that Canan Law makes a major impact in the St Johns community.

Once again we want to thank Canan Law for giving back to the community through their work with us here at JALA. It is thanks to Canan Law and our other partners that we are able to continue to serve those in need.
