Sing Out Loud Festival

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Jacksonville Area Legal Aid has garnered support from many business sectors over the years, but in a true first, JALA will receive a portion of the proceeds of a craft-brewed IPA from Intuition Ale Works that will be sold in select stores, on draft in the company’s taproom, and at this September’s St. Johns County Sing Out Loud Festival.

“What’s not to love about this partnership?” asked JALA CEO Jim Kowalski. “We are so grateful, and so very thirsty, for this one-of-a-kind support. This is the coolest thing ever.”

A Jacksonville, Fla.-based craft brewery established in 2010 by owner and brewer Ben Davis, Intuition Ale Works is releasing its Sing Out Loud Session IPA in their taproom Friday, Aug. 27, at 3 p.m.

And as a bonus, one of the Sing Out Loud Festival headliners, Parquet Courts, also chose JALA as the charity to which they will donate a portion of ticket sales. They will perform Sept. 18 at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre.

Sing Out Loud Session IPA is a limited-edition release that will be available on draft at the festival and in the Intuition Ale Works taproom. Six-packs, featuring JALA on the label, will be available in select stores in Northeast Florida.

It’s among the latest from the company, which was the first craft brewery in Florida to can its beers and opened a state-of-the-art brewing facility and taproom on Bay Street in downtown Jacksonville in 2016.

The 5th Annual Sing Out Loud Festival begins Sept. 10 and will take place each weekend through Sept. 26 with free musical performances at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre and other venues in St. Johns County. It features R&B, bluegrass, hip-hop and indie rock, among a diverse array of musical styles.

JALA is a nonprofit civil legal aid law firm focusing on delivering economic, social and housing justice to low-income and at-risk individuals and families on the First Coast.
