Summary:

Elizabeth joined JALA in November, 2020, as a staff attorney at the St. Johns’ County office.  She handles tenant rights, housing cases, preventing homelessness, and actively defending tenants in court.  Elizabeth also focuses on consumer protection by running the St. Johns’ Consumer Clinic two times per month which helps individuals and families facing foreclosure, being sued as a debtor, and numerous other areas of the law.  Prior to working at JALA Elizabeth volunteered as a pro bono attorney for JALA and focused on providing legal advice and representation to those in need since 2015.

Education:

Elizabeth graduated from the University of Florida with her B.A. in Philosophy in 2010, and obtained her juris doctor degree in 2013.

Florida Bar admission in 2014 and has maintained being a member in good standing with the Florida Bar.

SUMMARY:
Patricia Callaremi is a graduate of Perdue University Global where she obtained her bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies. She spent 5 years working for a personal injury firm but always knew that she wanted to work in family law. Patricia has been working with Jacksonville Area Legal Aid since 2021 where she assists the St. Johns County, Satellite Office, attorneys in helping clients with all of their family law needs.

SUMMARY:  
Holly joined JALA in early 2020 as a staff attorney in the Family and Victim Advocacy Unit. Prior to pursuing her interest in family law, Holly worked as an intern, course facilitator, and assistant researcher at Stewart-Marchman Behavioral Health, in Daytona Beach, Florida. There she researched the process of addiction, recovery, and behavioral change while developing course objectives, goals, lesson plans, manuals, visual guides, measuring tools, and assessments for analysis of class and individual participant’s success rates. In addition, she designed and facilitated group counseling classes that, as of 2019, have been utilized by therapists in approximately five locations throughout two counties in Florida serving thousands of individuals. She strives to integrate the law with behavioral models, the process of recovery, and the various disciplines existing within the comprehensive law movement to provide clients with knowledge and understanding to overcome the crises’ many face as they navigate the legal system.

EDUCATION:
Holly received her Bachelor of Science in Health Education and Behavior from the University of Florida and graduated from Florida Coastal School of Law, cum laude/top 8% of her class, in 2018.
